How to measure. Waist — around the narrowest part of your waist. Hips — around the fullest part. The waist is elastic with a drawstring, so go by your hips, and if you're between sizes, size up. Inseam and length are the finished pants, measured flat.

Shopping for a kid? 2XS fits most kids who wear a 14–16 (about 5′1″ and up); XS fits a 16–18. Every size has the same 29½″ inseam, so on younger kids the legs run long.
