A Day On The Dog’s Clock

Morning starts with nails ticking across cool boards and a clean leap past the ladder. By breakfast, the golden has claimed the bow seat and sent one full-body shake across every dry towel. Kids and grown-ups settle into the same lake uniform while sandals pile by the door. By sundown, damp fur is curled against bare feet for the slow ride in.
