Returns & Refunds
At Life Is Golden, every item is made to order — one by one, just for you. That means we don’t keep inventory sitting around, and we can’t do traditional returns like the big box stores. But we do want you to love what you get, and we handle any issues with care and common sense.
Here’s how it works:
🛠️ Custom & Personalized Items
Custom products — like items with your dog’s name, photo, or other personalizations — are final sale. Because they’re made just for you, we can’t accept returns or exchanges unless something is wrong with the order.
If it arrives damaged or misprinted: Send us a photo within 30 days and we’ll fix it — either with a replacement or a refund.
👕 General (Non-Custom) Items
If your item isn’t custom, we can sometimes accept a return. Here’s how it works:

You mail the item back to us (we’ll give you the address).

Once it’s received, we’ll send you a 50% off code to use on a replacement — no questions asked.
This helps us recoup the item (we often reuse it for photoshoots or local events) and helps you get the item you really wanted without us taking a full loss.
📦 Sizing Issues
We include size guides on every product page — please check them before ordering.
Since everything is made to order, we can’t accept returns for wrong sizes. But if you reach out, we’ll offer the same 50% off code once the original is returned. We’ve got your back.
💥 Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If something’s wrong — whether it’s a misprint, wrong item, or damage during shipping — just contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
Please include a photo and a brief description. We’ll make it right with a refund or a replacement (and handle it with our production partner directly).
